Wow, I'm off to bad a start on this blogging thing! It has been awhile!

It's Monday...I hate Monday's! Life can't stand still for my hating Monday's I know, but it sure would be nice to have 3 day weekends rather than just two!

The weekend went calm and non eventful other than one little incident. In the wee hours of Sunday morning {I was still awake, laying in bed playing games on my phone} Luke trots in our room and says, "Momma, my nose is bleeding". I look at him and thought OH MY GOSH, my kid looked like someone had slaughtered meat and he rolled in it. Blood was everywhere! Let me back up just a smidgen, back before Christmas I had a really bad sinus infection that I left untreated. I ended up with real bad nose bleeds. The last one lasted over 1.5 hours and I had my mom take me to the ER. I'm not good with nose bleeds at all, I know I am 34 years old but those things scare the living daylights out of me. So....when my little guy comes in my room looking like that, I beat the crap out of my dear husband to wake him up. The nose bleed had already stopped at that point, he just needed cleaning up. We cleaned him up and me and him slept on the couch the rest of the night. It took him awhile to go back to sleep from all that excitement. So needless to say, we missed church yesterday because this crazy momma slept until almost 11am. Now, notice I said we slept on the couch. I wasn't cleaning up all that blood at 3am, so it was there to welcome me when I woke up at 11am on Sunday. I immediately called my friend Kim, {who has 4 kids and seems to know almost everything} to find out what in the sam hill I could use to get all this blood out of my child's comforter! His bedding by far is not expensive, it came from Target I think for less than $30. But to be honest, I like it and I wasn't really looking to replace it. Kim saved the day....did you know that hydrogen peroxide {yes you know the stuff MOST of us have in our medicine cabinet} will bubble right up and remove blood stains from fabric! I spread the comforter out on the floor, poured the peroxide on the spot, watched them bubble, and let them soak. When they had bubbled and the liquid had soaked in to the comforter I then rubbed it with a old tooth brush. AMAZING - all blood GONE! Once I had cleaned all the spots I put it in the washer and it looks like there was never any stains on it. Thanks Kim!

I have had the same cold Luke has. This time I did take myself to the doctor {no leaving it untreated anymore} and they didn't give me anything. Told me it was viral and it had to run it course. So while sitting here typing this blog post, my nose proceeded to start bleeding - tying! Needless to say, I don't handle them as well as my kids do - so please pray for me!
